Terms and Conditions

To commission the construction of a custom JC Basses bass guitar, the following general terms apply. Should an instrument be formally commissioned, the buyer must agree with these terms and conditions. This agreement must be signed and returned with the appropriate deposit before work can start.

JC Basses offers two payment plans tailored to its customers:

1. An initial deposit of 1/2 the quoted purchase price of your instrument is required to secure your place in the build schedule and cover the cost of materials. Should the customer cancel their order before material purchasing/construction has begun, their deposit will be refunded, minus a $100.00 processing fee. Once construction has begun, this initial 1/2 deposit is non-refundable. A final payment of the outstanding balance, plus shipping & insurance charges, will be due upon completion of your instrument. Your instrument will ship upon receipt of the outstanding balance. If this remaining balance is not received within 60 days of notification, the instrument is eligible to be sold to another purchaser. All deposits are forfeited.

2. An initial deposit of $300 is required to secure your place in the build schedule and cover the cost of wood. This allows the build process to start while the customer makes monthly payments. The customer can pay any amount they feel they can afford. Should the customer cancel their order before material purchasing/construction has begun, their deposit will be refunded, minus a $100.00 processing fee. Once construction has begun, this initial deposit as well as subsequent payments are non-refundable up until 1/2 of the purchase price. Your instrument will ship upon receipt of the outstanding balance. If this remaining balance is not received within 60 days of notification, the instrument is eligible to be sold to another purchaser. All deposits are forfeited.

If, for any reason, JC Basses is unable to complete the purchaser's instrument, all deposits will be refunded in full. Prices are subject to change based on changes made to the instrument specifications and affected purchasers will be notified in writing regarding such revisions.
